bob hund
Six individuals who don't fit in but fit together make up Bob Hund: Thomas Öberg, Johnny Essing, Conny Nimmersjö, Jonas Jonasson, Mats Hellqvist and Christian Gabel.
After debuting with a self-titled EP in 1993 and the album "Bob Hund" in 1994, which was awarded a Grammis for Rock of the Year, the band quickly established itself as one of Sweden's most distinctive groups. Albums such as "Omslag: Martin Kann" (1996), "Jag rear ut min själ! Allt skall bort!!" (1998) and the chart-topping "Stenåldern kan börja" (2001) cemented their standing.
After a hiatus, Bob Hund returned in 2009 with "Folkmusik för folk som inte kan bete sig som folk" and began a new creative period with the albums "Stumfilm" (2010), "Det överexponerade gömstället" (2011) and "Låter som miljarder" (2012). These were followed by "Dödliga klassiker" (2016), "0-100" (2019) and the double album "DRÖMMEN ÄR EN RÅVARA / VERKLIGHETEN ÄR EN RAFFINERAD PRODUKT" (2023).
Bob Hund have always been more than an ordinary rock band. Through constant reinvention, they have challenged both themselves and the very notion of what a band can be.
In 2024, the group announced that their long live career was drawing to a close. During 2025, Bob Hund bid farewell to their audience with a critically acclaimed and successful farewell tour that culminated in front of 18,000 people at Zinkensdamm in Stockholm. But leaving the stage is not the same as ceasing to exist. Bob Hund are simply changing form. As they have done so many times before.
