DJ Carpenter
Gabriel Munther, aka DJ Carpenter, hails from Hultsfred, Sweden, a town once famous for its iconic festival. Inspired during those festival days, Gabriel transitioned from a saxophone prodigy to a DJ in his quest to be the coolest kid at school.
While pursuing music, Gabriel worked various jobs—sheet metal worker, ventilation fitter, brewery employee, retail worker, and substitute teacher—before becoming a skilled carpenter. Despite this, he never abandoned his passion for music, which was reignited during an internship with Grammy-winning producer Rami Dawod.
In recent years, Gabriel has been a resident DJ at Stockholm clubs and co-founded the club collective Nokta Servo, challenging the city’s mainstream club scene. His music blends retro-inspired electronic dance with 90s UK rave and breakbeat influences, drawing from heroes like Fatboy Slim, Justice, Eric Prydz, and newer inspirations like Overmono and Bicep.
DJ Carpenter’s sound bridges hard techno, melodic house, and UK garage. His goal is to evolve from DJing to live performances, creating deeper connections with audiences.
