Lisa Nilsson
For 30 years, Lisa Nilsson has captivated audiences with her artistry. She made her debut in Melodifestivalen in 1989 and released her first album, Lean on Love, the same year. In 1992, she had her major Nordic breakthrough with the award-winning album Himlen runt hörnet, and since then, she has toured Scandinavia multiple times.
Lisa Nilsson composes and produces her own music, moves effortlessly between genres, and has collaborated with many of the biggest artists and musicians in the Nordic region. Her deep passion for jazz and the Brazilian music scene has also led to collaborations with international stars like Toots Thielemans and Ivan Lins.
With a background in dance, she has successfully combined her musical career with critically acclaimed roles in both film and theater. Her work as a singer and songwriter has been recognized with awards such as the Ulla Billquist Stipend and Povel Ramels Karamellodiktstipendium. She has sung a duet with Montserrat Caballé, moved Stevie Wonder to tears, is a regular favorite of the Swedish Royal Family, and recently achieved great success with her own stage production, Kvinnan som är jag.
