The Rasmus

The Rasmus, one of Finland’s biggest musical exports, continues to surprise with their unique sound. Formed 30 years ago in Helsinki, the band has gone from strength to strength since their breakthrough hit In The Shadows. Their new single “Rest In Pieces” (released October 25) marks a shift towards a darker, heavier sound. Inspired by betrayal and anger, the song showcases Lauri Ylönen’s most direct and powerful lyrics to date. Despite its intensity, the band aims for the track to also feel empowering. Partnering with American producer Joseph McQueen and the Better Noise Music label outside the Nordics, this release signals a new era for The Rasmus. With a world tour set for 2025 and a new album on the horizon, the band promises their heaviest and darkest work yet.
